center of gravity height, front/rear weight distribution and polar moment of inertia are generally more important than total mass, for handling. Thing is, there isn't much of a way to change those dimensions. Going with a lighter engine is probably the best thing you could do...but then it wouldn't be a real Z, IMO. The Z isn't meant to be the best at anything...acceleration, top-speed, or handling-wise. It's meant to be a fun, liveable sports car with enough performance for 99% of people.
